Onion(Allium Cepa L) is one of the best elements widely used all over the year round. The green leaves, mature and immature bulbs are consumed raw or used in the preparation of vegetables. Onions are used in soups, sauces and for seasoning foods. Pakistan is blessed with best agricultural resources, thanks to its fertile land, well irrigated plains, weather and farming traditions. Onions are the best example of blessings. Onions are varying in varieties due to its different color, tastes and keeping quality as well as in limit of physiological maturity. It is one of the important elements widely used in cooking. Nature has given us many beneficial and useful plants.
