Potato is one of the extensively cultivated crops of the country. The geographical distribution of potato cultivation has been widely spread from plains of Punjab to slopes of Karakoram. It has also been in the coastal belt of Sindh province. The quality of Pakistani potatoes is far better compared to its competitors in India. Bangladesh and Egypt has the first generation seed used for harvesting, were imported from Holland regarded as one of the best among the globe.
